  • Need

The death of someone close can be shattering. Bereavement can be the most traumatic and significant life event that a person can experience. Everyone experiences grief differently. How someone reacts will be influenced by many things including age and personality, cultural background and religious beliefs, previous experiences of bereavement and circumstances.

Through training bereavement volunteers we are able to give effective bereavement support to help people cope with the impact of death and its aftermath, promote health and enable individuals to live fully and independently. The more volunteers we can train, the better we will be able to quickly help bereaved people in our area, without them having to be put on a waiting list.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To care for and help all bereaved people in the area covered by Cruse Surrey North

» Actively fund-raise within the community.
» Ask our satisfied clients for donations.

    What success will look like

Success will be... to have a trained Bereavement Volunteer on hand to help people immediately they need our help.

  • Impact

It would be our ideal not to have any waiting lists and be able to offer bereaved people help immediately they are in need

The only 'risk' would be if a person on the course was to drop out during the 48 hours of the foundation course and not become a member of Cruse Surrey North Area

We could send regular email updates on how funding of the course was progressing
