The 'Hall for All' Project aims to increase the number and range of people able to access all of the facilities of Farnham Maltings. Also, to ensure the resilience and sustainability of the Maltings as it continues to build the range of artists and art work it supports and the audiences it attracts.

Farnham Maltings supports new and emerging theatre, dance and circus companies to make new work for new audiences. The Great Hall is used by to rehearse and develop their work however the space is currently unsuitable as a venue to premier or showcase work to audiences. Essential repairs are needed to the raked seating system, a new dimmer and sound system. Backstage disabled access to stage level and disabled facilities will make the venue accessible to all.
The Hall for All project will provide essential improvements, namely disabled access lift to stage, backstage and first floor, installation of disabled toilet and dressing room facilties backstage. Essential refurbishment of the raked seating, installation of new dimmer lighting and sound system and provision of an audio loop system will meet the high quality expectations of today's audiences while confirming to modern safety standards.

Success will be an increase in the range and quality of services that we provide the public and users.
To make the stage and backstage dressing rooms accessible to disabled and less mobile performers.

Success will be the showcase of work of integrated theatre and dance companies and an increase in the use of the Great Hall by community organisations with access needs,
The Hall for All project will both improve the quality of services that we provide the public and users and better ensure the long term sustainability of the Maltings as a happy, safer arts and community centre for the town. We will demonstrate the success of this project by monitoring the increase in bookings for full accessible rehearsal and performance space and by feedback from all users of the building.
There is a risk that our local authority partners and funders may be unable to support this essential project given the present economy. For that reason the project has been broken into stages and can progress according to available funds. We are strongly supported by our members, local trusts and charities, all of whom remain loyal to our ambitions to sustain and improve the buildings for future generations to enjoy.
Funders will receive a monthly email report on the progress of the project and any necessary changes that have been made to the project plans.

Farnham Maltings is an arts and community centre that serves the town and surrounding communities by providing a place to imagine, discover and play. We achieve this by deliving a programme of theatre, films, festivals, performances and workshops; providing a venue for community groups and events; developing opportunities to participate in making and seeing the arts across the region and supporting new creative businesses.
The Maltings serves the town of Farnham (pop. 39,000) and has an annual footfall of 400,000. By making the stage fully accessible and installing disabled facilities backstage will can provide opportunites for everyone, including those with mobility problems to pursue their ambitions to perform. The improvements to the infrastructure of the Great Hall will ensure the best audience experience and benefit all users of the space.
