The Centre of British Inspiration
The British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) exists to inspire Young People facing adversity, to give them hope and ambition. We plan to build The British Centre of Inspirational Excellence - an eco building providing residential courses to these Young People and their carer and a centre for charities.

Need
Need
It can be devastating dealing with physical or mental
disability, with deprivation, with injury and wounding,
or with being a young carer looking after someone dealing
with any of these. The British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) exists
to provide vital support, hope and ambition to young people (16 to 25) facing this kind of adversity and to inspire change in them
and wider society. Currently there is no charity focused on this approach and no centre dedicated to running inspirational courses.Solution
Building a centre will allow us to offer residential courses in a state of the art facility. We will work with other charities who will nominate Young People to attend short residential courses in a topic which interests them. The course will bring the Young People into contact with inspirational figures who will encourage and enthuse them. Subsequent work placements will give them experience working in their chosen field inspiring them to overcome the barriers they face to achieve their aim.

Background
Location
The Centre will be built near Chichester, West Sussex. This is an ideal location given its proximity to many existing facilities, the inspirational environment and it will enable us to leverage existing local support
Beneficiaries
Young People facing Adversity, their families and carers as well as the country generally; a Centre of British Inspirational Excellence the nation will be proud of. Other charities will benefit from the opportunity to have Young People they know attend the courses offered. Charities will also gain from our intention of acting as a hub for all charities serving this target group - connecting Young People with other charity who could help them.

Why Us?
Why Us?
BRIT is lead by Phil Packer who has already inspired many people with the way he has handled the adversity he has faced. There is no existing charity which is focused on using inspiration to motivate such a broad range of Young People between 16 and 25 year old and no other charity offers the planned programme of activities.
