  • Need

Providing life maintaining safe water to those victims of natural disasters when pre-existing water systems/provision has been contaminated or destroyed

The Water Survival box has the facility to provide safe drinking water in times of disaster. We can deliver this solution quickly which is essential in such crises - people can manage for sometime without food but only a very short time without safe water

  • Aims

    Aim 1

    Providing Safe drinking water

» We provide safe water in the form of a Water Survival Box which contains as a minimum a Grifaid water filter and water storage containers

    What success will look like

we have already responded to 52 disasters in 27 countries and sent almost 123000 boxes for victims in our 10 years since inception of the charity

    Aim 2

Provisioon of other essential items to victims of disasters who may have lost all their possesions

» The Box also contains essential items such as Hygiene items [ soap, wipes, bandages, etc] cooking utensils, shelter tarpaulin, solar lamp.

    What success will look like

in addition to the above we receive a feedback report on all distributions of boxes which cover the distribution process and details of recipients as well as images

  • Impact

The product is constantly evaluated and brings safe water to communities when required

The major risk is lack of funds
we work very hard to secure new sources of funding as demonstrated by recent success in engaging Rotary clubs in Scandinavia and Switzerland in supporting us

a full report with images is collected from each distribution and these are posted on our website as well as being circulated in our regular newsletters to donors and supporters
Full information of the projects are available on our website www.watersurvivalbox.org
