We would like to offer our users an ICT area where they can work on their CVs and continue their schoolwork.
October 2010 - October 2015
Charity information: Young People March
Situated in the heart of the Fenlands, and the location for our Youth Centre, March is the second largest of the four Fenland market towns. With a population of approx 20,000 it is also an area of high deprivation, as reported in the National Indices. We hope that an ICT area for our youths can help tjem to prosper in their own lives.
The ICT area will give our youths a chance to finish schollwork or start a job application or CV. Here at YPM we feel that the positive environment that we provide our youths with, will help encourage them to plan positive careers and lives.
To help our disadvantaged youths fulfill their true potemtial.
Activities» Provide them with an ICT area where they can access all the materials they need to make positive changes in their lives.
What success will look like
Success will be... an increase in youths that use the computers for schoolwork and job searching.
We hope that this project will give our current youths a chance to start something positive in their lives. Many do not own computers or even have access to them. We feel that by providing them with this resource, more youths will be inclined to make positive choices in regard to their education and jobs.
We have identified that even the addition of an ICT suite could still cause overcrowding as so many youths need to use the computer resources. A small fee to the youths would deal with the sustainability of this project as well as allowing for new purchases in the future if the demand is high.
We could issue you with a monthly update on YPM services and this project.

Situated in the heart of the Fenlands, and the location for our Youth Centre, March is the second largest of the four Fenland market towns. With a population of approx 20,000 it is also an area of high deprivation, as reported in the National Indices. Primary employment comes from low-paid, agricultural based jobs and food packaging factories. Young people are forced to see first-hand the hard, physical, low-paid jobs their parents do resulting in a bleak outlook of their own future in the area.
The beneficiaries of this project will be disadvantaged young people who live in a rural area and have poor access to resources and materials.
We have nearly twenty years experience in communicating and encouraging young people in a positive way. Our two part-time centre managers are fully-qualified in dealing with all manner of subject areas. We believe that every young person can achieve their true potential and we try ad encourage this in every way possible.
