Extension to Eglinton Community Hall
Provision of midnight football and provision of a centre of sporting excellence.
Expand community provision for adult education.

What success will look like
Success will be shown by fund raising required money and building for the future. Success will be measured by number of new participants across all activities...
Long term change will be reduction in number of young people on the streets and at risk, reduce number of police call outs for nuisance, provide a safe environment.
New educational, health, social, recreational and physical activities for all adults
Lack of interest and support for project, particularly among young people.
We have dealt with this risk by starting youth leadership and citizenship projects with 15 young people aged 14-18
Donors will receive financial information and evaluations of the project as it progresses

Eglinton Community Hall is in a small rural village, it is a rural electoral ward of Derry City Council. Transport is poor after 6pm and stops at 7. It is also poor at weekends. We provide a valuable community link in a dispersed community with a fast growing young population. We have the fastest growing under 24 population of any of the wards of Derry City Council. It is a plantation village, founded by the company of grocers. I
The whole community will benefit, men and women, catholic and protestant. Eglinton is often considered to be an affluent area but still has poor infrastructure. It has expanded rapidly in the last 10 years with several hundred new houses
We are in the centre of the village and are the only non church, cross community venue in the area

Works 12 hours per week Manages accounts/ day to day running. Has successfully raised £150000 and paid off £27000 loan Volunteer with young people
