Need
Need
To help the disadvantaged and struggling community and voluntary groups.
These groups are the sort of organisations that everyone knows about but few think about. The youth clubs, the play groups, resident's associations, children's sports teams, social groups, heritage projects, townswomen's guilds'. The list goes on. The groups that provide a vital service to so many and yet find it amazingly difficult to raise funds to carry on providing their services for little or no charge.Solution
The income generated from the endowment fund will be distributed each year as grants.

Impact
Impact
Long term ambitions for the fund include the formation and continuation of the many community groups who are constantly working for the good of the people of the area.
Risk
Many community and voluntary groups provide fantastic resources and support, but all too often they go unsung. This fund will help to ensure that they receive not only the funding, but also the recognition, they deserve.
Reporting
The Staffordshire Community Foundation provides an annual report which can be requested by anyone. In addition, significant donors can request an extra involvement. This could be anything from receiving a regular report to helping decide where grant money should go.

Background
Location
The Staffordshire Moorlands focuses on the north-eastern most part of Staffordshire, extending from Stoke on Trent, north nearly to Macclesfield, east nearly to Ashbourne and taking in a substantial portion of the Peak District. It includes it's largest town, Leek, 'Queen of the Moorlands'.
Beneficiaries
Whilst the area is not as financially deprived as other areas, due to the sparse distribution of villages, it makes social interaction and social facilities in certain villages difficult to provide.
