Pakistan Flood Fund
To alleviate the suffering of over 20 million people in Pakistan due to the summer floods. With the disaster being more devastating than the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami & Haiti earthquake put together, we simply cannot wait a minute longer to help those in need. Over £83,000 has been raised till date!
September 2010 - September 2012
Charity information: Slough Islamic Trust
Provide food, water, shelter, medicine and to setup camps for the victims effected by the flood immediately. In the longer term, we intend to assist in bringing their lives back to normality.
It will hopefully contribute to ease the suffering of the people of Pakistan which have been directly impacted by the flood. As much of the population that has been effected lived for under $1 a day, this has made it even tougher for them to survive on a daily basis.
To alleviate the suffering of the victims of the summer floods in Pakistan.
Activities» We aim to collect as much funding as soon as possible. Subsequently we will oversee and monitor the expenditure to ensure it goes to the right place.
What success will look like
Success will be demonstrated by the on-going donations received generously by the public not only for the immediate future but for at least the medium term.
Hopefully by having people's lives returning back to normality will demonstrate this success.
There are no immediate risks that we foresee as we have had an immense response since the calamity started. We just need to continue to encourage donors that this recovery process will take years and not month and hence will require their on-going support.

We are collecting throughout our borough, county, country and internationally so that we get maximum exposure for the collection of the donations for the Pakistan Flood Fund which has impacted the entire region.
From the 20 million or so lives that have been affected, we aim to help as many people as possible. This is a nationwide initiative and hence everyone in the impacted community will stand to benefit from this.
We have a wealth of experience in this field and more specifically have been helping the nation of Pakistan for a number of decades now. More recently in Pakistan we have been actively involved in supporting the reconstruction initiatives from the 2005 earthquake that killed over 80,000 people.
