The British Final Festival of One-Act Plays -2016

Every 4 years The Drama Association of Wales hosts The British Final of One Act Plays In 2016 this will be held at The Sherman Theatre Cardiff bringing together the best of Amateur Theatre the 4 Nations have to offer for youth and adult groups.

  • Need


    To ensure the success of this event and to be able to provide a level of financial support for amateur drama groups to participate we need to raise in excess of £20,000. The operational logistics to run such a festival is managed by a team of volunteers and the Trustees of DAW who will give all of their time free of charge.


    By raising the profile we hope to secure either a large donation or a series of smaller donations. Michael Sheen, OBE writes: My family have been involved in amateur theatre for generations, so I have experienced first-hand the creative and social benefits it provides and the strong sense of community it can engender.     This once in every 4 year opportunity will show that Wales supports The Arts for all; Youth, Adult and U3A. This competition incorporate training, social skills and confidence building.
