A Vehicle of Hope
In Zambia there is a chronic shortage of wheelchairs, elbow crutches, hearing aids and other equipment that we all take for granted in the UK. This is especially the case in more remote areas. We want to extend our outreach programme to other areas and for this we need a new reliable vehicle.
Health Help International
Provision of mobility and hearing aids for disabled people in outlying areas of Zambia, away from our base in Monze.
A reliable and appropriate 4 wheel drive vehicle will enable us to deliver the items to those in need, often across difficult terrain.
We aim to supply appropriate mobility and hearing aids to around 600 people in the first instance.
Activities» Deliver these items as quickly as possible.
Success will be seeing these folk receiving and using their mobility and hearing aids.
Disabled folk being able to become more self sufficient in co-operative communities and being able to work.
Unreliable transport and lack of mobility and hearing aids. We have more than enough mobility and hearing aids available and ready in the UK to ship to Zambia as has been the case every year so far.
Regular newsletters and emails to keep donors informed of progress and outcomes.
