Editorial staff for SOFII

SOFII – the Showcase of Fundraising Innovation and Inspiration has just appointed its first full time employee. To grow the site and content, we need an additional full time editor.

    Fundraisers have the best stories to tell and the best of all reasons for telling them. But everyday it gets harder for fundraisers to engage and inspire donors. The climate for innovation seems to be missing in most charities. And nowhere is there a permanent, easily accessible archive of fundraising, which shows what works and what doesn’t and which displays fundraising best practise from around the world. That’s why we created SOFII - the Showcase of Fundraising Innovation and Inspiration.

    Solution

    The SOFII website provides fundraisers with an online, easily accessible archive of the best fundraising creativity from around the world. A new member of staff would allow us to source new and exciting for SOFII to ensure that it remains relevant and up to date for all fundraisers.

    Success will be regular emails to all SOFII users advertising new exhibits and articles on the website every month.

    SOFII is helping to change the way fundraisers learn, stay inspired and share their work globally. A full time editor will be able to research, source and edit new material which will ensure the SOFII website remains a relevant tool for fundraisers all over the world.

    Risk

    SOFII is a low risk project. It is created by fundraisers for fundraisers and already has an enthusiastic following from around the world. With future marketing and development, SOFII's popularity can only increase.

    Reporting

    Donors will receive regular email updates about the progress of the project detailing ongoing and forthcoming activities. They will also be able to test new areas of the website and feedback to the SOFII team.

    Fundraisers all over the world can benefit from SOFII. It's a place where, regardless of their age, location and experience, fundraisers can meet and learn on an equal footing. With further marketing and promoting, we would like to increase the number of fundraisers in the global south using SOFII.
