Equipping our new office
The LGBT Network has secured some office space in the Glasgow LGBT Centre. We would like your help to allow us to equip it and decorate the office. We have a number of projects in the pipeline and require an office with computers, internet access, desks etc in order to allow the project to commence.
June 2010 - November 2010
In order to commence our range of new advocacy programmes and formally setup the LGBT Equality Council, the LGBT Network requires funding in order to purchase essential equipment to decorate and fit out its new office space in the Glasgow City Centre.
The new office and equipment will enable the charity to setup the LGBT Equality Council, launch a drop-in advocacy service, develop and offer LGBT awareness training and train a team of volunteers to help raise the plight of the LGBT community within the UK and Europe.
To create an equipped, safe, fit for purpose office space where the LGBT Network can be based.
Activities» The funding received will enable us to purchase the essential equipment for this project and enable us to take the charity to new levels.
Success will be... a sufficiently equipped office which will enable operations to be centralised rather than in volunteers homes. A space the charity can call its own.
The charity will have a permanent home where projects can be run from and service users can visit.
Not achieving the required level of funding may mean that difficult choices will have to be made in what items to purchase. The charity will continually review the arrangements and the project progress.
We will update donors via our website with pictures and videos to show our progress and the final when its finally open.

The office is based in Glasgow City Centre. Our campaigning work covers the whole of the UK and Europe.
LGBT citizens will benefit from this project. We will be able to better serve the community and offer practical assistance and advocacy support to LGBT persons who are experiencing issues as a result of the asylum status, sexual orientation, socio-economic background and individual personal circumstance.
The LGBT Network is an organisation which has existed since 2008 and has been run from volunteers homes since then. The Network has petitioned the Scottish Parliament of a number of equality issues and is meeting with the Scottish Government to see equality realised for LGBT citizens. We dont receive government funding which enables us to stand apart from other organisations and openly challenge the government on its equality agenda and record. We campaign on inequality throughout the UK
