a free phone advice line for children, young people and their parents and carers, on all issues pertaining to the law. This includes Special Education issues, Mental Health and welfare, at what age can I?, human rights and so forth.

The free phone advice line will be an invaluable resource for those seeking information and advice - from the help line calls received - strategic case work will then set precedent in the courts.

Impact
Impact
Long term changes will be the influencing and modification of policy and legislation over the longer term, to ensure that children's rights are paramount and ensuring that children are consulted on issues pertaining to them.
Risk
Public awareness of the service - we are aware that we must at every opportunity promote the service to the potential service users. We have to ensure that the PR activity generates sufficient calls to the help line. Promotion is vital. We have developed a Communications Strategy to ensure that we are maximising all opportunities to promote our cause.
Reporting
Bi monthly stats can be provided on the breakdown of number of calls received to the helpline and the issues being addressed.
Donors could be kept informed on the number of test cases being progressed. -

Location
The Children's Law Centre is located within Belfast - but we provide a service to all children and young people across Northern Ireland
Beneficiaries
Any child, young person, parent or carer who has a query regarding children's rights. We have had direct contact with families across Northern Ireland on all sorts of issues from Mental Health, Special Education issues, Suspensions/Expulsions, bullying and suicide to name a few.

We provide a unique free legal 'advice & action' strategic litigation service that allows us to change the law to the benefit of all children and young people in Northern Ireland. We employ specialist solicitors to take on strategic casework to ensure that precedents are set ensuring the best possible outcomes for all children in Northern Ireland.
