This is an ongoing project.
Charity information: Staffordshire Community Foundation
Community groups in the Cannock Chase area suffer the same as many organisations. Despite the good work that they are trying to do, very few receive any sort of formal funding and have to rely on fundraising efforts, which can be difficult, especially witht he current economic climate.
Any money given to the Chase Community Fund will be put into an Endowment fund. Each year, the interest generated will be used to provide grants for small community groups.

What success will look like
Success will be proved by a thriving third sector, (community & voluntary groups) in the Cannock Chase area.
Smaller organisations can receive grants to allow them to become more sustainable.
The current economic climate makes it extremely difficult for small community groups, such as youth clubs, townswomen's guilds, luncheon clubs, play groups to survive. There is little money around for fundraising efforts. By being able to coordinate the raising of funds for the Cannock Chase area, the Staffordshire Community Foundation can ensure that funds go where they are needed most.
