Viewer Support - SAT-7 PARS
We provide a safe and secure phone number in the UK for Farsi speaking people to call with their questions about Christianity.
This telephone number is broadcast on the screen during live phone in discussion programmes on the SAT-7 PARS channel.
Charity information: SAT-7 UK Trust Limited
Farsi speaking Christians, particularly those living in Iran, do not have access to a service to freely ask questions about Christianity in their own language.
SAT-7 PARS already receives an average of 894 letters, SMS, emails or phone calls each month. Viewers contact SAT-7 asking for prayer, for literature, for help living their Christian lives or for more information about Christianity.
SAT-7 PARS will provide a person in a safe place who can answer whatever question viewers may have in total freedom. This project is to enable the effective support of the thousands of Farsi speaking viewers who contact SAT-7 PARS each month. These viewers contact SAT-7 by phone, SMS and email, some tell us they have no one else they can speak to. It is crititcal that SAT-7 has the people in place to respond in the most appropriate way to their needs.
To respond to a growing number of viewer enquiries by implementing an audience relations strategy.
Activities» The PARS team now has full time audience relations manager and a clear strategy. This needs to be implemented and resourced.
What success will look like
Success will be shown in the provision of appropriate and supportive initial response to contacts from viewers to SAT-7 PARS within 24 hours and literature requested within 7 days.
To see an increase in the number of viewers who contact the Audience Relations team, and those who continue to keep in touch after initial contact. SAT-7 PARS broadcasts bring support, teaching and encouragement to the struggling Iranian and Afgan churches. The Audience relations team give these viewers a voice, and provide direct and relevant support when sources of this can be very scarce to enable them to survive isolation and persecution.
The risks involved for Farsi speakers who share their faith publically in Iran can be death at worst and imprisonment at least. By locating the viewer support service in the UK this risk is eliminated.
Donors receive regular updates from SAT-7 in a quarterly newsletter and can also subscribe to a monthly prayer diary. Our Website is also constantly updated.
