Project information
The High Sheriff Fund
The High Sheriff Fund was started by Lord Frances Stafford to enable grants to be given to local community groups within the county of Staffordshire.

Need
Need
Disadvantage of any sort throughout the county of Staffordshire.
Solution
Any money raised for the High Sheriff Fund is placed into an endowment fund, which is then invested. Each year the interest from the fund is given away as a small grants programme to community groups based in Staffordshire who are working in their community.
The current High Sheriff, Ian Dudson CBE, DL, is walking the canals of Staffordshire, along with volunteers, to raise money through donations and sponsorship. -

Impact
Impact

Risk
All investments are made under Charity commission guidelines. The fund will be around forever, it can never be dissolved.
Reporting
Each High Sheriff is involved in making the decisions as to which projects are supported, backed by the extensive local knowledge of the Staffordshire Community Foundation.

Why Us?
Why Us?
The Staffordshire Community Foundation works throughout Staffordshire, distributing grants from government, statutory bodies and national funders such as Comic Relief. Due to our local connections it means we can work in the community and are aware of local difficulties and problems, as well as local deprivation.
