The Pavement Online

When we first launched we had a basic website, which did little more than offer contact details and a chance to post pdf copies of the magazine.
Since Val Stevenson joined the magazine three years ago as a volunteer she has rebuilt the website and made it into an important resource for the growing number of readers online, vitally making the site high ranking in search engines to make us easy to find. She also contacted Flat Earth Communications who, for a much-reduced fee, have rebuilt the site as a data-base driven site, meaning we can update our information online more easily as well as use this information easily in our publication.
Now, with funding from the National Lottery, we’ve almost finished the website rebuild (it's in the beta phase).
The new website, as it is, will be a boon to our work, and strong resource for our target readership and those working with them, but to do more and expand the information nationally, particularly where we don’t distribute, we need a part-time post for it.
And although we’re asking for two years funding whilst we establish the new site we have our eyes very much on the future. The low costs and national potential of the site also make us confident of developing sponsorship for it’s ongoing work and maintenance.
