Open Books

Our Open Books Programme reveals the imaginative journeys contained in books by offering interactive events with some of the world’s greatest contemporary children’s writers. The Edinburgh International Book Festival plans to give children access to some of the country's best loved contemporary children's writers, bringing the joy of reading to children who otherwise would not have access to the Book Festival's world-class programme of author's events.
