The Alan Senitt Community Leadership Programme
A project run in partnership with the government-backed Shared Futures Project and Streetwise which trains Year 10 pupils to become active communal leaders and will link schools from Mainstream and Faith schools. The pilot project commenced in January 2009 with 60 pupils from 4 schools from Middlesex & Hertfordshire participating. They graduate on 8 July 2009. For 2009/2010 the programme is to be extended to 6 schools and will include additional modules so that the programme not only covers leadership skills training but interfaith dialogue as well. Within the programme each school organises and runs a local community project and have to involve more people in that project.
