CRY's New Screening and Research Database

Due to the rapid expansion of CRY’s research and screening programmes, we are in need of purchasing a bespoke database. This will be a cloud-based system enabling CRY to build on the success of our screening and research programmes and develop worldwide collaborations between international partners.

  • Need

    Need

Currently it takes a long time for our research fellows to input data into the various databases that we currently have.

    Solution

The benefits of streamlining our data by creating a far more efficient data flow, thereby reducing the amount of time spent by our research fellows inputting data, would have a huge impact on the cost-effectiveness of our programmes. This system could therefore allow CRY to screen even more young people meaning that we could identify more people with cardiac conditions, potentially saving young lives.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Increase the cost-effectiveness of CRY's screening and research programme.

    Activities

» Develop a new screening and research database to streamline our data, creating a far more efficient data flow.

    What success will look like

The reduction in time for our research fellows inputting data could potentially allow them to undertake more screenings.

  • Impact

    Impact

CRY will be able to screen more young people. To demonstrate this, we will compare the number screened before the new database to the number screened after the database.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We offer a unique service to the public as CRY is the only charity offering proactive cardiac testing to young people.

CRY is best know in the UK for raising awareness, support and screening. However, internationally we are better known for our publications and research findings which are changing international policies and procedures on the way we test young people.
