  • Need

    Need

Being a mum or dad on a neonatal intensive care unit is incredibly tough. Instead of cribs and mobiles there are wires and machines.

Since launching our appeal 2 years ago, we’ve been privileged to work with many new parents.

Each family’s story is unique but there are two things that run through. The first is how overwhelming, frightening and heart-breaking the neonatal journey can be for parents. The second is how highly they they value the medical professionals who care for their babies.

    Solution

By supporting the last phase of our Tiny Lives Appeal this Christmas, you will be helping to fund a vital emotional support service for parents going through the hardest experience of their lives.

The service will provide support to those nurses and doctors who give their all in caring for their tiny patients.

You’ll also be funding life-saving equipment to give premature and critically ill babies the best possible chance.

  • Impact

    Impact

Many more babies from South, Mid and West Wales will be treated at the neonatal unit and they will receive the best care possible, using state of the art, life saving equipment. The whole families experience at this traumatic time will also be improved.

We will be able to show statistics which support this and provide case studies and video messages from families who will be testament to the success of the project.

    Risk

Not reaching the target of £1 million. We have already raised over £875,000. We believe by the Christmas Challenge we will be on the last push to secure the final funding which will fit perfectly with an online campaign.

    Reporting

We will work with donors to report to them in the way they wish to hear from the charity. We can provide bespoke reports, invite them for a tour and to events where they can meet families and babies who have spent time on the neonatal unit.
