There are over 11,000 older people in Oxfordshire who go for a month without speaking to anybody. We work hard to combat loneliness through a programme of interlinked activities hat reach out to older people who have become isolated.

Need
We are trying to combat the epidemic of loneliness amongst older people in Oxfordshire.
Solution
A programme of interlinked activities including our befriending service, Information and Advice helpline, bereavement support groups and other activities within the community.

Success will be that more older people feel connected to their local communities and are participating in activities.

The project will improve older people's wellbeing which can be measured by the Age UK Wellbeing Index.

Lack of funding could mean lack of resource.
Reporting
We are currently working on an Impact Report which will demonstrate the changes made.
