  • Need

We are trying to combat the epidemic of loneliness amongst older people in Oxfordshire.

A programme of interlinked activities including our befriending service, Information and Advice helpline, bereavement support groups and other activities within the community.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To reduce loneliness in our county.

» 'Phone Friends' befriending telephone service
    » Information and Advice helpline
» 'Late Spring' bereavement support groups

    What success will look like

Success will be that more older people feel connected to their local communities and are participating in activities.

  • Impact

The project will improve older people's wellbeing which can be measured by the Age UK Wellbeing Index.

Lack of funding could mean lack of resource.

We are currently working on an Impact Report which will demonstrate the changes made.
