WE are trying to support children and parents in local communities in London who do not have the funds to take their children away on holidays so we at Sir Hubert von Herkomer Arts Foundation need to fundraise SUMMER WORKSHOPS IN ART & PHOTOGRAPHY to bring together local communities, and support, nurture and inspire the children giving them the tools and aspiration they will benefit from in learning these courses we aim to teach children the arts collaborating on projects in art and photography

This project will encourage children and parents in local communities in London to collaborate and work together on projects. This will build a better community in a safer environment for children who have no where else to go during the long Summer holidays when the schools are closed.
We aim to give these children a safe space, environment to be together in whilst creating inspiring projects in the arts and photography. This will create positivity , confidence and working together as a team.

  • Impact

Long term we aim to be able to have our own centre on a permanent basis to be able to give children access to our courses all year around. Giving after school workshops, holiday workshops and Week-end workshops in all the arts giving these children a privilege that they should always be entitled to . Giving them life long skills to take on their journey to adulthood, ensuring they will have the confidence and skills that they otherwise may not ever have the opportunity to learn.

The only risks that we have that could influence the succes of this project is that we do not have the funds to make them happen.
There are no other risks. We have worked with schools in London in after school projects but smaller basis as we only have limited funds. If we make the fundraising happen we can make it work. We have the tutors, the skills and the coures all available . We now need the funding to be able to proceed and support children that will benefit form out work.

We will report all activities and keep informed weekly by emails and on our page here in the Big Give by uploading works and pictures during and after the workshops and sessions.
We will case study and write down improvements after each and every session and detail students progress

  • Background

The location of our project is to be held in a building which used to be a youth club to support young people, but due to funding this has been closed. I would like to continue the work in the area of Queens Crescent ,Kentish town in this space to hold arts and photography courses to nuture and inspire young children from this deprived area .

Over 200 children aged between 6 and 18 years old will benefit from this project supporting under funded local schools with our art projects teaching , inspiring this generation who is much in need of nurture and support . We will be able to support over 15 schools supporting children for our summer holiday courses in the arts and photography giving these children ah gateway to the arts in which they would never have the opportunity to explor.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

Our charity is best placed to carry out this project as we have already established our selves within Camden and London and have proven to support schools already with after school classes , building arts partnerships with private sector to support the state and under privileged sector. We have two case studies which are proving our work with children is validated and above all giving them a better start in life.
