Charity information: Wonder Foundation
Wonder works to empower local women and girls in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In many of the countries where we work the education of girls is regarded less important than of boys and the consequences of this are long lasting. Girls who are not in education, training or employment are more likely to enter into early-marriage and motherhood and are at higher risk of abuse and trafficking. Our projects offer safe environments for women to learn and develop personally and professionally.
By breaking down the financial barrier that vulnerable women and girls face when entering educating. Our students have access to high quality education programmes which are designed and led by local people. Students receive 1-2-1 mentoring and support to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. With the skills and knowledge attained women and girls are empowered to make positive choices, secure good jobs and earn to provide for themselves and their families.
To break down the financial barrier for vulnerable women and girls seeking education
Activities» Providing scholarships and support for women and girls who come from low-income backgrounds to enter into quality education and good employment
Success will be an increase in the number of women and girls from low-income or financially unstable families entering education
Women and girls who are supported and educated through our projects will develop personally and professionally. The long-term impact of this will see these women enter into safe employment, with opportunities to grow and progress and to earn a living that will support themselves and their families to lift themselves out of poverty.
Potential risks include lack of donations and lack of funding. We have dealt with these risks by looking into sustainable funding methods that will ensure longevity of our projects.
Donors will receive updates from Wonder Foundation in the form of testimonies of women and girls receiving support around the world.

The Wonder Foundation works with locally run projects in Honduras, Guatemala, Peru, DR Congo, Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, India and the Philippines
The beneficiaries of this project are women and girls, typically aged between 5-30, who are at risk of not receiving any form of education or training due to their social and economic status.
Wonder Foundation works with locally-led projects who are entirely integrated and working with communities and are therefore best placed to deliver education projects that meet the needs of women and girls in those areas. Wonder Foundation as a small organisation is able to ensure accountability, transparency and has direct contact with beneficiaries to measure the success of the project as well as the impact on individuals and their families.
