Be Santa. Befriending campaign.
Child Poverty and social deprivation is rife in areas of Brighton and Hove. We recruit and train befrienders to support children and families in need . Our plan is to highlight this and raise money both online and live through a fun Santa costume contest.
Our Waiting list requires 98 befrienders

Charity information: Fun In Action For Children
We are trying to do two things:
1) Raise money
2) Raise the profile of the organisation.
We want raise the profile of the poorer, less active and socially deprived children of Brighton. Through befriending, we show children there is another way and give support and hope. Through tools, we mentor them to be in control. Money raised will fund the operation of the charity, recruit and train these befrienders.
We have 98 children on our waiting list. Three referrals a week. We need to meet demand.
Taking to the streets and raising the profile and issues will seriously help the cause. We ask people to Be Santa and speedily don a costume. There will be sponsored prizes.
This will bring in money in a fun way and help recruit urgently needed befrienders. We will also raise the profile of the charity.
