We are looking to address the unhealthy lifestyle choices our most vulnerable clients have fallen into.

We will also be promoting being more active by providing clients with gentle exercise aimed at all capabilities.

We will be promoting easy achievable healthy lifestyle goals including Menu Planning, Budgeting, Shopping and Preparation.
Our exercise sessions we offer will include Light Impact Fitness Training or a walking group. We would canvass Clients for their choices.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To promote living a Healthier Lifestyle

» By providing Workshops aimed at Promoting Healthier Lifestyles. We will encourage our clients to make positive healthy decisions for themselves.

    What success will look like

We will collect feedback at the end of each session, consult with clients via participant surveys to gauge if they feel more vitalised living a Healthier Lifestyle.

  • Impact

The project will look to improve the clients longterm Health and Well Being. We will provide a work book for clients to keep and refer to once the programme has finished to reinforce the theory and practical skills learnt in the sessions.

Client drop out, we would advertise the project prior to the start and collect a list of clients. If a client drops out we would ask a client on the waiting list to join the sessions.

We would consult with the Donor on how they would like us to report or provide an interim report half way through the programme and then an end of project report.

  • Background

The project will be based in Bridgend town centre. Bridgend County Borough includes the Llynfi, Garw and Ogmore Valleys which are known areas of deprivation. The Valleys were strong mining communities and suffered when the mines closed.
The town lies between Cardiff and Swansea on the M4 corridor, the town centre has suffered from out of town developments such as McArthur Glen and the Picton Court Developments.
The town has a number of large housing developments such as Brackla and Parc Derwen.

We will advertise the project throughout the borough. We will specifically target communities that are known to have pockets of Social Deprivation where this programme will have the most benefit for clients.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We have worked throughout the Borough for the last 15 years and have built good relationships with other organisations working in the area.
We have a large client group that would benefit from this type of project and we have had some success previously with a smaller scale programme.
