  • Need

    Need

Lack of opportunities for children and adults to better themselves in a sport and community they want to be part of but can't because of financial difficulties.

    Solution

Raising money will allow us to subsidise courses for children and adults, such as coaching, refereeing and table officiating courses and qualifications.
    We can also reduce/irradiate fees so all children/young adults can take part in our junior development programme where they will have access to;
    -high evel basketball expertise
    -excellent basketball facilities
    -development camps
-play partnership with the professional Plymouth Raiders basketball

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Reduce fees so anyone, regardless of financial status can take part in the development programme

    Activities

» Put any money raised towards outgoings, such as travel costs and court hire so we don't need to charge families/players

Success will be shown by the advertisement of reduced/no fees

    Aim 2

Raise money to pay for courses (currently some courses cost £150-£270 pp)

    Activities

» Put any money raised towards outgoings, such as travel costs and court hire so we don't need to charge families/players/volunteers for courses

Success will be shown by the advertisement of Free courses

  • Impact

    Impact

The project will increase the number of players and volunteers in the club.
This can increase development opportunities and provide a career path for many children in the community.
Success would be a 25% rise on registered players and a 40% rise in qualified coaches, table officials and referees from the club. We will also continue to work closely with local schools and build on our academy

    Risk

Risks would be unknown costs, I.e an increase in basketball England fees.

    Reporting
