Hospital Packages

Lengthy hospital stays are difficult for teens especially as there is little for them to do. Our entertainment packages provide games and equipment to help make stays slightly more bearable. This is something the NHS simply cannot afford to fund, but makes a huge difference to patients.

  • Need

Hospitals are able to entertain younger patients who are in for long stays, through play specialists, arts and crafts and other resources. This is harder for teens are need their privacy, independence and are used to more sophisticated forms of entertainment.

Our entertainment packages are adapted to suit the needs of teens, offering TVs, games consoles, games, books, DVDs and other electronic and mobile devices. This ensures that everyone has something to do whilst they are on the ward, keeping people from feeling bored and demoralised.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To supply entertainment packages in as many hospitals throughout the UK as possible

» Each package costs £2,000 so the more we raise, the more we are able to provide.

    What success will look like

Each package is officially donated to the relevant teen/children's wards. Photographs are taken, and a record is kept of what has been donated and when.

  • Impact

We identify wards and units that have the need, and once the packages have been provided we keep in touch with the specialises on these wards to see the impact they are having. Just as importantly, we are keen to ensure that over time the resources do not become unusable, and therefore a need occurs again in the future. We will keep all units "topped up" as and when basic needs arise.

The primary risk with this project is that not enough funds are raised to purchase as many packages as we would like.

We are very active via social media, this is the way we usually communicate with our supporters and donors. However, if personal information is provided we will be able to email updates.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

Our charity was founded by Dawn, a mum who has seen first hand the lack of these resources within the hospital environment, and the impact this can have on teens and their families. As a result the need has been identified, and we are best placed through our current presence within many hospitals to ensure the right equipment is provided to the right wards and departments.
