Ripley Village Hall Rebuild
Ripley Village Hall Rebuild is a project that will benefit all our 2000 residents, from a wide demographic mix. The current hall is no longer fit for purpose and there is a need for a modern building for all our users, such as Over 60's Club, Shed Youth Club and various Music & Fitness Groups
June 2018 - January 2020
Charity information: Ripley Village Hall
The project needs to raise funding from within the community which will form part of the total rebuilding fund. Ripley Village has to demonstrate a commitment to raising funds from residents and local businesses that will benefit from the use of the Village Hall.
As a community, Ripley Village has committed to raise £100,000 from many local events and this project will be one of our key jigsaw fundraising events for 2017, to enable the Trustees to reach the community funding target.

Activities» Multiple applications to appropriate sponsors and funders with the assistance of Surrey Community Action who are guiding the Trustees
e.g. Ripley village has provided 20 volunteer marshals for Ride London, for this we get a donation from the organisers and the ability to access major additional funding in 2018
A new Village Hall will give Ripley a building that will be a well used space for all our varied demographic groups in the community. In particular we want a designated room for the exclusive use of our youth club (currently storing equipment in a leaking trailer) and a computer room/library for the use of our ageing parishioners as well as being an educational resource for our more disadvantaged children. New additional fitness classes will be provided to encourage healthy living for all.
Opposition to building plans will be dealt with by numerous consultations, listening to and empowering residents in decision making.
Slowness in raising funds, or insufficient funds could compromise the project. We have formed a fundraising committee who will have the drive to keep the project on target.
Ripley Village has an extremely effective electronic mailing network which will keep our donors informed locally. All sponsors and pledgers will be directed to our website page where their donations (if permission is given by the donor) will be acknowledged and a progress report given

The existing Ripley Village Hall is at the heart of the pretty village of Ripley, Surrey. There is a wide range of activities that take place here, enhancing village life and benefitting our whole community. It’s a great place to come, meet with friends, enjoy a hobby and maybe take up a new interest. The Hall is now in a very poor state of repair and urgently needs rebuilding before we are forced to close. If the hall is no longer available, it will be severely detrimental to the community.
The Hall currently is available for wedding receptions, parties, dance classes, amateur dramatics, business meetings, training events as well as being a great venue for public meetings, clubs, groups and societies. We welcome bookings from Schools and Youth Groups. The over 60's are a particularly vibrant and well supported group, accounting for around 70% of the Hall's regular users and now need added resources of computer and library facilities as well as a meeting place.
The Official purpose of the Charity is to establish and run a village hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of Ripley Parish
