FOCSA has donated incubators to more than 20 Hospitals over the last 20 years, and this piece of equipment has proved to be the most useful and consistently needed - but many are reaching the end of their useful lives. We are raising money to replace as many basic level incubators as possible.

Charity information: Friends Of Colombia For Social Aid
Many Colombians are living in poverty, without adequate maternity care, particularly amongst displaced populations. There are many very young mothers, and babies born to these populations are often compromised and have sadly high mortality rates. The hospitals serving these populations are in desperate need of incubators to help improve the outcomes for these babies.
Incubators are the single most effective piece of equipment in providing small, often premature, and undernourished babies with the best environment to improve their neonatal health.

Reduction of infant mortality in the hospitals selected - we will ask each hospital to give statistics regarding use of the equipment and infant mortality rates
Risk of theft or misuse - we ask each institution to sign an undertaking to acknowledge that the donation is subject to forfeiture in the case of misuse.
We make follow-up visits to ensure that the equipment in still in place and being used correctly.
We will provide feedback via our newsletter and a targeted mailing to the individual donors
