PTSD Resolution is a charity (No. 1133188) that helps Veterans, Reservists and families struggling to reintegrate into a normal work & family life because of military trauma.
With an impressive success rate, all funds are used to help Veterans: we pay no salaries, own no assets.
Charity information: PTSD Resolution
There are many tens of thousands Veterans suffering from military trauma. It causes flashbacks, nightmares, anger and depression - often leading to violence, alcohol and substance abuse, job loss, family breakdown and even suicide.
The symptoms of PTSD wreck lives, damage families and cost country many millions of pounds in sickness and employment costs.
PTSD Resolution helps ex-service men and women who have mental health problems following service in the UK armed forces.
We work with the people other services do not reach or have not been able to help. We work in prisons, for example, and we are generally able to work with traumatised people who have alcohol and drug problems provided they are able to engage in therapy.
It is a unique service, operated largely by volunteers, with funding focused on paying therapists
Resolve military trauma for Veterans and families, with therapy that is local, compassionate, free
Activities» Communicate with Veterans and other Services' organisations and health bodies to inform them of the help available to Veterans suffering trauma.
» Provide therapy directly to the Veterans and families concerned. Treatment is provided by local therapists with an average of 5 sessions.
What success will look like
We have full reporting of each treatment case. There is a NICE-approved scale of measuring trauma, used before and after treatment. We offer full transparency of processes
We are currently carrying out follow-up studies to track long-term benefits of the treatment we provide, which is via Human Givens therapists.
To date we have no reports of any decline in psychological health to levels pre-treatment.
Therapeutic outcomes generally for Human Givens treatment of trauma are excellent.
The long term changes to the lives of Veterans and families is in evidence in the many testimonials at www.ptsdresolution.org
We have detailed protocols for identifying and addressing risk throughout, from first contact with a Veteran, through the treatment process to the end of therapy.
We work closely with the Human Givens Institute, from which our therapists are selected, which operates a full professional code of contact and processes for evaluating and updating treatment.
We are fully insured, and our therapists too.
We keep full records of the Veterans that are treated and the outcomes of treatment. Whilst names and other details of individual Veterans remain confidential, we fully disclose outcome data.

We provide treatment nationally, with treatment delivered locally through a network of 200 therapists.
The programme is delivered in quiet locations around the UK, so veterans do not have to travel long distances or visit crowded areas or institutional buildings.
The goal of trauma therapy is to break the link between the memory of the original event and the strong emotional response. We are Cobseo members.
Veterans and their families who receive the treatment, employers of veterans and others.
We sometimes find that partners of Veterans are themselves traumatised from the effects of living with traumatised person - we can help them too.
Our record of success at near 80%. Treatment is delivered locally and starts usually within days - as opposed to the long waiting times by other routes. We help whether other organisations can't or won't - we work in Prisons and also with people with addiction issues, who are often rejected by other service providers. We are Cobseo members.
