Replacement community and worship facilities
We want to modernise our facilities in order to maintain and increase our involvement with our local community in both providing community events, services and modern facilities.
Charity information: Mangravet Church (working as Grace Community Church, Maidstone)
There is a lack of community facilities available in the area for use by community groups. We also want to help provide services to support the local community with a particular focus on health and well-being.
We believe modern facilities can help provide facilities for community groups and in consultation with local councillors and other advice one area of particular need is in the area of health and well-being.
To raise funds to help build a new community and worship facility
Activities» Giving by the local congregaton
» Community events to help raise funds
» Applying for funding from other organisations
What success will look like
Success will be good modern facilities for the local community and also providing services to help improve health and well-being.
The long-term changes will be seeing the facilities in constant use and a real improvement in the general health and well-being of the local area which can have other benefits in terms of education, community development and esteem.
The biggest risk is finance and not being able to provide the facilities which we believe will help us be an active and supportive part of our community
We will provide regular reports on how the building works are progressing and what outcomes we are achieving in terms of income and service provision.

The current church facilities are part of a housing estate which is predominantly an area of social housing. It is an area that in the past has been on government statistics of indices for social deprivation.
Our aim is two-fold to benefit our wider community and also provide space for continued Christian worship
We are the only place in the area that has the space and capacity to provide modern and much needed community facilities.
