Oncology Cubicles in Childrens Ward

Furbishment of new Oncology Treatment Cubicles in Children's Ward at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey. This will provide 'luxury' items for the children and their families to try and and improve their hospital stay at this very distressing and emotional time during chemotherapy treatments.

  • Need


    Whilst undergoing chemotherapy the children have to spend long times on their own, or sometimes with a parent, in isolation units at a very distressing time during their treatments.


    By providing various 'luxury' items, such as electronic games, televisions etc. it will help reduce the stress levels in the children and patients during these periods of isolation, contributing to a more successful outcome.

    What success will look like

    Through feedback from parents and nursing staff.

  • Impact


    To minimise the overall stress of children suffering from cancer during treatment and to assist their parents in coping at this distressing time in their lives. This will be confirmed through feedback from patients, parents and hospital staff.


    Lack of funds raised at various events. This will be minmised by using our reserves held in the bank.


    Through our web site and electronic news sent by email.
