Hackney is one of the most deprived boroughs in the country. Every ward is in the 20% most deprived with a 41% family poverty rate. Children and YP are demographically over represented and there are inadequate measures to address needs of very disadvantaged youth which further triggers at risk behaviours. Our group comprises of 80% BAME users, 56% with a history of behaviour challenges and 30% from dysfunctional homes.
An upwards of 200 at risk children and teens from 6-16 and young volunteers up t the age of 25.
Our users come to our project via self referral or through their schools/other referral agency.

`My impression of Kids Colours is of a friendly, efficient organisation that does what it says it's going to do. It brings things that I think are immeasurable, like confidence, happiness and engagement. The children really loved it. It’s proper learning, but fun.
