Cyrenians 50th Challenge
Originally a Homelessness charity, Cyrenians has now been working in Edinburgh for 50 years, journeying with people who are excluded not just from home, but also from family, work or community, believing that they can change their lives, and walk with them as they lead their own transformation.

The Golden Years project has been developed in response to an identified gap in provision for older people in Edinburgh.
Golden Years will reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation, improve independence and develop informal social networks or isolated older people & their carers.
We will use our evidence-based monitoring tool to report on all personal development outcomes and measure and evaluate change.Risk
Other funding being cut or withdrawn could limit the ability to engage with as many clients.

Background
Location
Working predominantly in Edinburgh, Golden years will work wherever a need is demonstrated.
Beneficiaries
people over the age of 60 who are experiencing isolation or loneliness.
This does not always mean working with people who are experiencing financial hardship or who live in an area of defined deprivation. We work with people when they need us most, for as long as they need us. -
Why Us?
Why Us?
Cyrenians have been working with those on the margins of society for almost 50 years. We have developed a team of skilled & compassionate staff and volunteers who work independently and in partnership with other individuals and organisations to build a society where everyone has the opportunity to live a valued and fulfilled life.
