  • Need

    Need

At Oasis Cardiff we have a very strong team of staff, who aim to offer our clients a warm welsh welcome as well as helping them to integrate within the community, and support them if and where we can. However, due to our high number of clients and limited funding we sometimes struggle to meet demands.

    Solution

By increasing our team and training this would give our clients more time for one on one support increasing our chances of being able to help with certain issues or form filling. It would also allow us to offer community involvement or training days for our staff and clients.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To employ Integration and Support workers

    Activities

» More one on one support
    » Community involvement days
» Training days for staff and clients

More efficient and effective support for our clients

  • Impact

    Impact

This project will offer more free and effective support for Refugees and Asylum Seekers who wish to start a new life in Wales. For what is already a safe and friendly centre for our clients will become a more effective place for them to seek and receive as much support as possible.
This project will also give back to our already diverse country a rich culture for our local and wider community.

    Risk

Ineffective planning, lack of motivation from staff or clients. We would prevent this by making sure we employ motivated and dedicated individuals and ensuring that the clients who receive the most support and integration opportunities are the individuals that will aim to benefit as much as possible from what we will offer.
We would also organise regular meetings to discuss any issues or positive feedback therefore aiming and continuing to better our project.

    Reporting

We will email over monthly updates, offer that they come along to any community days or events we may have so that they can meet our staff and clients and find out about the progress.
