  • Need

We are trying to address the dangerous obesity level young people are facing through cheap fast foods. We are also trying to improve young peoples respect towards others and install within them the spiritual growth to aim high and succeed.

The activity will involve physical exercise and physical contact. It will slowly introduce respect as part of the way and method of getting to know oneself, others and tutors. Yougn people will be pushed develop thier inner self and develop techniques to boost self confidence, self esteem and self motivation.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

    Develop the physical self

» Learning Taekwondo patterns through warming up, practising and cooling down.

    What success will look like

We will see young peoples improvement to thier physical appearence.

    Aim 2

    Develop and improve individual moral

» The teaching of respect of tutor, the Dojo, and other students.

    What success will look like

We will see young peoples change in behaviour and attitude during the session, less angry more patient, etc.

    Aim 3

    Spiritual development

» We will push young people to learn develop and display the 7 patterns learnt, the movements taught will improve spiritual growth.

    What success will look like

Young people will go through grading achieving the different levels of belts and believing in themselves more that they can achieve high.

  • Impact

We are about building young people for the future, hoping that young people will become better citizens, engage less in negative peer groups and risky behaviour. We hope that young people will be positively active, participating in organise activities, involving themselves more in the wider community and seeing a better future for themselves by raising their standards of aspiration and aiming high.

    1. Funding for a shorter period than a year will have less impact on the overall development.
We will continue to seek funding, charge parents a minimal fee to cover the main costs, reduce the number of tutors and limit participants
    2. Young people deciding not to participate for the long run.
Advertise, promote and seek new particpants.
    3. Young people with special needs, slow learners may require more one to one help.
We will provide two tutors during the sessions to get everyone upto speed.

We will provide a written report of our activities, provide pictures where possible and give regular updates if required.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We were successful in carrying out this project previously for two years and this helped the young people to develop, learn, engage and become better individuals. We are doing it as part of our youth work programme where we assist young people in their learning experience and we feel that this will help young people more than attending private sessions.
