The project is aimed at young people not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) but all young people can benefit from the project.

Charity information: The Mentor Ring
The transition to adulthood is a time of opportunities, challenges and choices. Some
young people make a successful transition, settling and succeeding in their chosen career options whilst others make steady progress with help from support networks and professionals. However, a significant
number of those more vulnerable young people face an enduring struggle.
By providing young people a dedicated mentor as a role model. as well as :
• To increase the confidence and self-esteem of the young people.
• To empower the young people to use and increase their skills and continue develop them through accredited courses.
• To encourage young people to embrace teamwork and collaborative work.
• To provide voluntary positions as exit routes for all of the young people who complete the project, if they are unable to find education, employment or training.
• To increase the confidence and self-esteem of the young people
Activities» Weekly participation in confidence building workshops and team building activities .
What success will look like
Diaries or logs to track the progress they are making during the project. This could be completed by young people themselves or a mentor.
• To increase their skills and continue develop them through accredited courses
Activities» Two accredited courses to be run
» work experience with supervision and mentoring
What success will look like
By getting accredited certificate from Awarding Body
Young people will be motivated to enrol in FE or universities.
Young people will also be participating in volunteering activities.
Some will be searching for jobs or received a job offer.
Being young people, they may not be committed to continuing in the project.
We try to have a 1-1mentor and this really works out well.
We also will submit photographs . We will be in touch with the donors all through the lifetime of the project.Feedback forms from the participants and also by submitting End of the Year report. We will invite ( if possible) our donors to any events that we organise.

The project will be mainly in Cardiff, Wales as well as in Newport.
Young people 18+ to 30 years will benefit who are NEET i.e,. Not in Education, Employment or Training
The Mentor Ring is the only mentoring charity dedicated to give 1-1 mentoring support to individuals in the area. We have pool of mentors who we train and build a 'Ring' of mentors to support individuals.

£20 will cover the cost of a mentor to mentor a vulnerable young person
There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning
