Background
Location
Blackburn is a small isolated estate on the outskirts of Rotherham. It has high crime statistics and low employment rates. There are very poor transport links out of the estate which means very few people travel outside. By providing a service down their street meeting their needs is something that is vital for this community.
Beneficiaries
The whole community will benefit as it will mean more projects will be able to be done on the site. There is a large outdoor space which we are in the process of doing up and would love this to continue further as so many of the young people are learning new skills, mixing with other generations and developing a sense of pride for their community.
