  • Need

    Need

Providing full time unpaid Carers with a respite break.

    Solution

This project addressed the issue that Carers are more likely to suffer serious illness because of their caring challenges and because they find little time to carer for themselves. The issues of caring for Carers. Carers find little time to deal with their emotional, mental, physical and social well being. These connect breaks and health workshops help to address these issues.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Provide Carers with much needed essential respite

    Activities

» Residential breaks without those they care for

Evaluation and monitoring through interviews, surveys, post event group forums

  • Impact

    Impact

Carers feel confident to change their lifestyle. Visible physical changes and emotional benefits. Carers will inform the project about how the event and programmes impact their physical well being. Social improvement will be demonstrated through the number of contacts that are sustained post the event and how many return to the project after a year.

    Risk

Risks include poor take up of the project
These risks are dealt with by pre - individual contact during the year and contact post the event.
Funding is also a risk. The charity has fundraised specifically to help off set the cost for Carers to attend the event. Carers also contribute towards the cost enabling there to be some fund accumulated for future events.

    Reporting

Annual report and completing any donor report documentation in a timely manner.
