Vulnerable people's lives saved across East Africa
We will save lives, protect children, and rebuild livelihoods.
The scale of the problem in East Africa is severe. There are daily challenges in delivering aid to millions of people in need.
Ongoing conflict and violence affects our ability to deliver aid to the most vulnerable people, particularly those in remote communities.
Moreover, if we do not raise significant funds to put our emergency response plans into action, lives could be lost.
Email communications will be sent to supporters on our humanitarian response in the region.
We can also produce impact reports from affected countries.

The IRC is supporting people in South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, and Somalia.
In South Sudan, we are focusing our efforts in the Central Equatoria, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Unity and Lakes states.
There are 20 million people facing food shortages in the region. The UN states that this is the worst crisis since 1945.
The IRC has been one of the largest providers of aid in southern Sudan for over 20 years, offering emergency assistance throughout decades of war.
While we have been forced periodically to suspend our efforts due to violence, the IRC continues to provide life-saving support to vulnerable South Sudanese in hard-to- reach areas.
