Microchipping Matters

Our charity rescues dogs from the horrific meat trade and we have a wonderful partner shelter in China near Beijing. Our plan is to microchip not us all our dogs and cats but offer this service at a low cost to rescues and dog owners. We also offer free microchipping in London for those in need.

  • Need

When a truck full of dogs bound for slaughter is stopped on the highway, activists need to prove at least some our stolen pets. Large shelters also need a way to identify the different animals and their needs.

Our rescuers can be equipped with readers and also work to train local shelters to microchip their dogs.We have built a cost effective database for pet owners as well.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Microchip all the dogs and cats in our rescue shelter

» train our team to microchip
    » purchase readers and chips
» chip all the dogs and cats in the shelter and enter onto our database

    What success will look like

photographic evidence.being able to re home them more easily, matching chip registration with vaccination registration.

    Aim 2

facilitate chipping of dogs in neighbouring shelters

    » Train our shelter manager
    » offer outreach programmes

    What success will look like

social media evidence - other rescuers carrying readers on rescues

    Aim 3

    run low cost/free microchipping events
