  • Need

The San are one of the oldest tribes in the world; traditionally hunter gatherers in the Kalahari Desert. Unfortunately today’s reality is different. They are the most impoverished and marginalised community in Namibia. The San face huge challenges including lack of access to healthcare, education and disenfranchisement from mainstream Namibian society.

The N/a'an ku sê Foundation provides employment, training and accommodation to more than 50 San Bushman families in a variety of roles. In 2009 we built the Clever Cubs School in order to provide quality education to the children of the families that call N/a'an ku sê home.

Younger children attend Clever Cubs Pre-primary and once old enough, we sponsor them to attend mainstream school in Windhoek - thereby furthering their education and their potential for the future.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To provide quality education to San Bushmen children

» The Clever Cubs school ensures a quality education to San Bushman children

    What success will look like

By closely monitoring each child's educational development we help them achieve their potential.

  • Impact

San Bushmen children receive a quality education which is far too often denied to this community. Through supporting children with their studies we are creating a new generation of San Bushmen who will have better employment opportunities and will become far more active members of Namibian society - thereby bringing a halt to the poverty cycle for generations to come.

Lack of funding. We are constantly on the lookout for funders who will help us to educate the San Bushmen children.
