  • Need

Disabled people have limited access to art and in particular, inclusive and sensory art projects. For 16 years Touch Trust has delivered its own unique Creative Movement and Art programme for disabled children and adults. This has led to over 160 disabled people joining our sessions each week at our base in Cardiff Bay. We are the only provider of creative movement and art programmes for disabled people and in particular, those with severe and multiple disabilities.

Touch Trust Creative Projects give disabled people and their carers the opportunity to get involved in fully inclusive, creative projects. These projects are delivered to meet the specific needs of those people who we work with and include a wide range of music, movement and creative activities. They are fun and offer our guests a safe and happy environment to explore new activities and develop their skills.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Disabled people will have more opportunities to take part in creative projects and have fun.

» We will run a Creative Project based on the theme of 'Here Comes Spring' and deliver activities within the project which are sensory and inclusive

    What success will look like

We will demonstrate this through the following:

Ask our guests to tell us about the involvement in the creative project.
Photographic evidence of people taking part

  • Impact

Disabled people will learn new skills and have more fun.

We will demonstrate this through recording their progress in sessions.
We will ask carers to tell us about any different in their behaviour

We risk assess all new projects.

The main risk would be that people wouldn't attend the creative project. We can mitigate this by ensuring that we advertise the project in advance and tell our guests about the project.

We can also contact people who have previously attended creative projects and ensure they at they are aware of the new project which we wish to run.

We have full policies and procedures in place to ensure that all of our activities run within safe guidelines.

We will post progress of the project on our social media pages and we will put a story on our website about the project when the project comes to an end.
