To encourage family participation in fun and physicical activities. To source affordable activities and introduce all to new ideas.

  • Need


    We recognise the need to support families to find activities that can fit into their busy lives. By organising social family events, we will support positive well being, healthy living and improve family mental health whilst being educational.


    By providing a wide variety of activities that encouage family fun and activity, we will help people to get fitter, feel better and make time for the family.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

    Improve Physical well being


    » Provide opportunities for families to participate in a variety of physical activities. This will be Family Residential, Bike Riding and Dancing

    What success will look like

    Attendance at activities will be monitored , Evaluation sheets supplied. All activities will be recorded on Social media

    Aim 2

    Improve emotional well being


    » Family Residential weekend where people will have the opportunity to take part in activities that will challenge them.
    » Lets Dance- opprtunity to participate in 5 dance classes with the opportunity to take part in a show.
    » Get on your bike, Opportunity to learn how to look after a bike and ride safely.
    » Family art - art sessions where families will be encouraged to participate in different activities.

    What success will look like

    Evaluation feedback forms will be provided to all participants .
    All events will be recorded on social media.

  • Impact


    The long term changes will be creating a community network that encourages families to work together to help not only their own members, but others to engage in activities that encourage physical participation as well as exploring their creative side.

    The changes will be demonstrated by encouraging the the participants to put together a presentation that shows what they liked, disliked, would do again and how it helped them


    Lack of attendance- participants will be encouraged to share the news and information about events and ask them to sign up to take part.

    Managing Risk. Risk assessments will be put in place for all activities, indemnity forms will be mandatory .


    Donors will be provided with a copy of activity plans and presentation reports.

      £500 Lets Dance 5 sessions where families will learn to dance together
      £500 Get on your bike % sessions that will introduce families to Bike safety, maintenance and participate in bike rides
      £700 Make Music together A Socail event where families will be encouraged to play instruments and sing .

  • Background


    Aycliffe and the surrounding area lacks locla authority support after years of financial cuts.
    The area relies on the voluntary sector to provide social activities and run community initiatives.


    Families , This will be open to all families in the area.
