  • Need

Each person whoever they are falls into 'victim consciousness' where a false belief system develops telling the person that their life is the 'effect' of a series of events randomly occurring within their life and are a victim of circumstance, in so doing absolving the person of responsibility for their situation.

We all go through challenges but its about how we approach the challenges that determines if we become a victim of them or grow.

Our courses give back people control of their lives

Emotional Intelligence courses in association with Divert, a program run by the Met Police works with disadvantaged kids, young adults in custody and homeless women.
Trained coaches deliver courses focusing on:
-Taking 100% responsibility for our lives
-Identifying 'limiting thoughts' e.g. 'I'm not good enough' and overcoming them
    -Building desire and igniting potential
    -Goal setting
-Goal achievement e.g. LifeReady course for 18-24yr olds in police custody results in apprenticeships

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Reduce reoffending from 18-24 year olds from 72% to 0% in London

» Provide 20 week LifeReady courses for every young adult being held in custody in London, in association with Divert founded by the Met Police

    What success will look like

Each young adult at the end of the 20 week course ends up in an apprenticeship and is monitored for a period of a year to know if a re-offence occurred

    Aim 2

Increase Power of Venus courses, eradicating domestic abuse and female homelessness in London

» Produce course packs for 800 homeless women in the shelters we currently work with. Initiate classes.

    What success will look like

Out of 800 homeless women within the homeless shelters we work with, it's recorded by the shelter who is in shelter and who isn't. The women are also monitored through mentors.

    Aim 3

Increase our Kids Hour program from 1000 to 10,000 4-12 yr olds. Offering free arts, music classes

» A4L has 100 trained coaches/ mentors. We currently work with local councils but are unable to initiate free classes due to no materials

    What success will look like

Each child will register with the course so there will be a list of who's taken it.

  • Impact

-Reduce crime rate as re-offending reduces
    -Reduce number of homeless women
-Provide new opportunities to children within the arts and sports
This will be demonstrated on the basis of statistics. Each person within each course, is assigned a personal mentor and monitored. A4L can track whether a young adult in police custody re-offends, if a woman leaving a homeless shelter goes back to being homeless, how many people go on into paid apprenticeships and we easily monitor kids on the free course

    1. Uncooperative students in courses
    2. Skill of Coach
    3. Locations to teach

    1. Each course is agreed to be delivered by the institution in which the student resides e.g. homeless woman-shelter, kid-after school club, young adult in custody- the prison
    2. Coach's on average have 5 years experience and each goes through rigorous training
    3. A4L partners directly with London councils with a limitless supply of venues
