  • Need

    Need

The project is solving 3 key areas:
    - Supporting vulnerable women to overcome 'victim consciousness' and become the cause rather than the effect of their environment
    - Teaching children from disadvantaged backgrounds to overcome limiting beliefs
    - Offering 18-24 year olds who are held in police custody the opportunity to choose an alternative life

    Solution

The Project is called the Conscious Share.

Focused on disadvantaged communities across London, such as North Area Housing Estate in Lambeth with the highest homicide rate.

Our emotional intelligence courses provide people with the tools to highlight their 'limiting beliefs', the desire to overcome them and develop an inner certainty to set ambitious goals, overcome challenges and realise their potential. Graduates of the course become mentors who then empower others in their community.

  • Impact

    Impact

A4L's courses are transformative for communities. As one vulnerable woman, disadvantaged child or frustrated teen in custody overcomes their limiting beliefs, victim consciousness of being an effect of their environment they change, transform and inspire those around them to inspire change to the next person.

Course participants will fill out the A4L community survey before the course and 12 months after the course to see if they feel there's has been a positive shift in the area around them

    Risk

There are health and safety risks when teaching within in a classroom which we traditionally cover through insurance.

    Reporting

Usually we report every quarter to donors with an update on how a specific project is going and a general analysis showing targets, targets met, targets to reach, outcomes and challenges
