    Physical, physiological, and social development assisting in providing recommended daily amount of physical activity, Organized sports breaks the vicious cycle of inactivity and unhealthy lifestyle, increasing time spent away from entertainment media, Successful acquisition of a motor skill improves the likelihood of future participation in that activity in adulthood decreased risk of heart disease and diabetes, weight control, and less psychological dysfunction, self image and confidence.

    Solution

    Making sports and recreation a fundamental part of young people’s lives by developing a youth sports culture. Support friendships, and learning developmental skills across all cultures and genders. Organized youth sports, when focused on fundamentals will facilitate physical activity by providing enjoyment for the young athlete. Fostering positive youth sports experience is the accumulation of multiple factors, Sports demands, positive behaviour from coaches and parents, realistic goal setting

    Reverse this decline in participation
    and see a long term, sustainable increase in percentage of young people playing sport and
    being physically active. By shifting social attitudes to being active by making it normal to take part and be physically active than not. We are going to make Gmax attractive by branding and utilize online tools to measure growth and popularity .

    Risk

    Lack of sustained funding over project duration. We currently fund raise through our business activity www.dragonfly-yoga.org where we provide donation based yoga classes to support our projects financially. In addition Gmax high level plan financially and have Partnership with local authority and maintain communication with advisors to learn and develop our Management abilities and sustainability capacity based on any Environmental impact

    Location

    young people aged 0 to19 quarter of the borough's population. The ethnic make up of Lewisham is amongst the most diverse in London. Some 54 per cent of residents are White, whilst 46 per cent claim Black and Minority Ethnic heritage (this rises to 75 per cent for the schools population). Lewisham ranks 31st out of 326 local authorities nationally for relative deprivation and is amongst the 20 per cent most deprived local authorities in the country

    Beneficiaries

    Youth lenient to crime & antisocial behaviour costing government £4bn a year. 1 in 5 young people reports being involved in crime and antisocial behaviour. Approx 75,000 new entrants into the youth justice system every year
    Proven success with innovative ways to tackle crime is to use sport to engage young people by creating opportunities for them.

    Gmax staff has been operating for over 14 years collectively and have experience in leisure management/ project Delivery. We have extensive experience across the sport, leisure and cultural sectors.
    We have collaborated with Met-track and Lewisham sports to provide comprehensive support locally and will build on our establishes success
