People affected by mental health can experience a decline in social networks which can lead to an increased sense of isolation and loneliness. Our project will aim to increase self-confidence, independence and active engagement in the community.

Mental Health Matters Wales Limited known as MHM WALES
MHM Wales wants to tackle the sigma and isolation people who are affected by mental health experience in the community and provide a safe support and solutions which can be received from others with a shared understanding.
One-to-One Volunteer Befriending. Will provide face-to-face contact which plays a proactive role in helping Social engagement is encouraged through social, leisure, educational and work/volunteering opportunities.
Group Activity Befriending will offer opportunities to exchange information and share concerns with others who have similar experiences and difficulties.
‘Telephone Connections’ will provide support via a telephone link to beneficiaries in their own homes
Volunteering opportunities face to face support to those who are isolated
Activities» Befriender will take people out into the community and assist in such tasks as shopping or attending other support groups
Activities» Will offer opportunities to exchange information and share concerns with others who have similar experiences and difficulticulties
Activities» Will provide support via a telephone link to beneficiaries in their own homes
